No, copper is an antibacterial material by itself, however like all common sinks being exposed to daily use products such as soap, toothpaste, hard water or acids and vinegar in case of kitchen sinks they all need regular cleaning. Just avoid using abrasive cleaners or disinfectants and do not scrub or polish, all you need to do is rinse with water after use and keep it dry, and from time to time use mild soap and a soft cloth and pat it dry. Please refer to our Maintenance Section.
Simply pass a sponge or soft cloth soaked in a mixture of soap and water. Travertine stone has a natural porous surface that may allow appearing spots, so in case the spots are deeper, you will have to use a brush instead of a cloth. For more information about care instructions of your Sinks & Designs products please see our Maintenance Section.
Patina finish is a brown film on copper sinks which gives them a weathered or aged appearance. Our line of copper sinks comes with this beautiful aged patina that may vary of tone due to wear and tear but surprisingly the older copper gets the more attractive it looks, that is one more of its benefits.
